Grad school’s back in session, hence the lack of blogging. Not that I was blogging much when grad school wasn’t in session…but you get the idea.
Despite that, I plan on putting aside formal education one night next month and focusing on a different type of education, hopefully involving naughty girls in plaid skirts and the like. The lovely Zille Defeu is throwing the inaugural SF-CP party* in San Francisco on March 13. While San Francisco has a very varied and vibrant kink scene, this is definitely an event that will cater to the spanking enthusiast. and I’m quite excited that it’s happening.

How odd that she would choose the same weekend as the Texas All-State Spanking Party
Hardwood — you are reading something into the date that simply is not there. The weekend of March 13th was the best not only for me and for the event space, but also for many of my spanko friends — whom I really wanted to be able to make my very first party!
I did my homework and knew about the Texas All-State Spanking Party, but I figured that not many Texans or their neighbors were going to be heading out to my party — I mean, this is the first time I’m throwing a party, it’s not like I have the pulling power of Shadow Lane! — so the overlap would not cause any problems for people planning to attend either party.
It is very hard to schedule an event like this! First — is any other spanking party using that date? Cross off those weekends. Now, are there any other big local events? And do I need to cross off those weekends, because the event will conflict with mine? Next, what weekend would be convenient for most people to go to a party — big holidays and etc. can either hurt or help. And finally, my friends and fellow spankers in the Bay Area — can they make it that weekend?!
So the date became March 13, and it had nothing to do with any other event (except in that I did not think they would have serious conflict with any other event) and I hope the Texas All-State Spanking Party is a huge success.
And, hell, I ain’t stupid! I know not to mess with Texas!!!
Now that the event is finished, I hope Chris will give us a report on how it went.
