Welcome to my new blog
Sparkle and I have been talking about moving away from Blogger to our own domain for awhile, and we finally did. Welcome to kinkyfirehouse.com!
I’ve spent the past few days configuring the WordPress installations on our own personal subdomains and getting my own blog up and running (Sparkle will move her’s sometime later). I have to say, I’m very happy with the new look…especially the new header graphic that my lovely wife made for me.
We will probably eventually have a website of some sort on the root domain, but for now, all you’ll see is a rather boring placeholder page from our hosting provider.
I do have a new e-mail address on the doman as well: chris{at}kinkyfirehouse.com. For the moment, I’m keeping my Yahoo e-mail as well, but feel free to drop me a line on the new one if you want.
If you do have my blog linked from your site, please update your bookmarks with the new address. I’ll be leaving the old Blogger site up indefinitely, but I have imported all of the posts (and comments) from it to this site.

Your new blog is very nice. Unfortunately, your URL isn’t happy in the Blogger blog roll feature, and your posts and update date won’t show up there. Oh, well, I guess I’ll just have to visit you every day!

Blogger’s “Blog List” feed is not very smart. It doesn’t recognize several of the newer rss feed templates without assistance. Use this URL for the feed:
http://chris.kinkyfirehouse.com/?feed=rss2
instead just chris.kinkyfirehouse.com. I tested it in the BlogList gadget and it worked fine.
I suppose I didn’t think of this beforehand, but I am suggesting that Chris add the feed URL to his Blogger post and a RSS feed button here.

Actually, there is an RSS link up at the very top left corner (just above the header graphic). Same link Sparkle posted. There’s also one for a comment feed should anyone be interested in following those.

Thanks everyone for the comments, and glad you like the new look. I’d been toying with a redesign on Blogger, but decided it made more sense to wait until I moved.
